The court has granted Instagram celebrity Mompha bail of N200 million by the Justice Mojisola Dada-led Ikeja Special Offences Court on Tuesday.
The Court also requested two sureties, one of which must own a property valued at N100 million within its jurisdiction. He had filed for bail through his lawyer, Gboyega Oyewole (SAN). Recall that the Instagram big boy was picked up by the EFCC last week for laundering funds obtained through unlawful activities and retention of alleged proceeds of crime, transfer of funds for a suspect Jimoh Olayinka Dolapo a.k.a Nappy Boy – the owner of NapTown records — and unlawful transfer of funds for a record label, among others.

The EFCC also alleged that Mompha concealed his interest in expensive wristwatches and other movable assets valued at over N70 million. The internet sensation pleaded “Not guilty” to the eight counts while Islamob Limited was named in and pleaded “not guilty” to the first six counts.
