Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country citizens have been asked to make it a point of duty to wash their hands regularly to prevent them from contracting the virus. Film maker and politician Desmond Elliot decided to gift the members of his constituency a makeshift cleansing mechanism to help them wash their hands before entering the street.
Nigerians were however irritated by this gesture and went on to drag the politician for such an embarrassing move. The people claim that there is a lot more that he can do for his community than the joke of a project Desmond Elliot created for them to show that he cares about their welfare.
