The Edo state government has taken proactive measures to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the state. The government today announced that it has suspended every form of public gathering following the outbreak of the deadly virus.

Godwin Obaseki, who announced the ban, said schools are to remain closed in the state and civil servants from grade level 1- 12 are to work from home henceforth. This are the proactive measures the state government is taking to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. Earlier today the NCDC announced that it had recorded one case in the state.
