Akwa Ibom has discharged two patients from its isolation centre who reportedly tested negative to the coronavirus pandemic.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dominic Ukpong, who disclosed this on Saturday, May 30, 2020, said the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) is aware of this recent development.
He further said the governor, Udom Emmanuel is dedicated to pushing the frontiers of healthcare in the state.

He said, “Yesterday, you saw the magnificent 300 — bed facility that the Governor put up at Ituk Mbang, and I told people that it is going to compliment the services provided in the earlier facilities provided at Ikot Ekpene and the one here at the Ibom Specialist Hospital.”
The state according to the NCDC has a total number of 45 confirmed cases.
