The NCDC has announced that over 1,000 people have been successfully discharged after making full recovery from the COVID-19 virus. 
As of May 12th, Nigeria Centre Disease Control (NCDC) note that a total of 959 people who had tested positive for the Coronavirus disease have now been discharged to go home after recovering and testing negative twice.
The NCDC gave an update on Wednesday night, May 13 2020, it confirmed that Nigeria has exceeded the 1000 mark, with the recovery number across the across at the moment currently stands at 1,070 after 111 patients were discharged from various treatment centres across Nigeria
Despite the increasing number of recoveries, Nigeria confirmed more positive cases of Coronavirus with the number of infections now at 4,971.
The nation’s death toll rose from 158 to 164, with six new fatalities.
