On Friday morning, a container has fallen off a trailer on Ojuelegba bridge, blocking movement to the stadium in Surulere, Lagos State.
The incident was made known by the Lagos State Transport Management Agency(LASTMA) via their Twitter handle.

LASTMA has revealed that operatives of the Lagos Police Command have been deployed to the area to maintain law and order as evacuation efforts are being made.
LASTMA tweeted, “A 40ft container fell off a trailer on Ojuelegba bridge inward Stadium blocking the entire main carriage way now. Diversion in progress through the Ojuelegba service lanes.
“Men of the Nigerian Police Force are already on ground as mechanism for evacuation has arrived.”.

Recall that nine lives were lost when a container fell off a trailer and landed on a commercial bus, ‘Danfo’ at Ojuelegba bridge. It was reported that four male adults, three female adults, a girl and boy lost their lives with one female adult rescued and rushed to the trauma centre. The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu issuing a statement on the incident.
