Bus Drivers Kill LASTMA Officer, Beat Another To Coma

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has again lost another officer Obasu Segun Godwin to the cold hands of death orchestrated by a commercial bus driver and others at Anthony Area of Lagos State.
Not only was Obasu killed but another official Adeniyi Hakeem was assaulted by the defaulting driver. This is coming about three weeks after a driver knocked down another official down, leading to his death.LASTMA Officials
The General Manager of the Agency, Olajide Oduyoye, in a statement today Thursday said Godwin Obasu and Adeniyi Hakeem were attacked with machetes and other dangerous weapons by the driver of a commercial bus with registration number FKJ 452 YC, plying Bariga to Oshodi via the Ikorodu Road axis.

Olajide Odujoye, added that the driver, however, didn’t carry out the assault alone but in cohort with some other drivers. The driver’s vehicle was said to have been apprehended by the law enforcement and regulation officials for contravening the Traffic Law of the State.Releasing the statement via the agency’s official Twitter handle, Oduyoye condemned the act of the driver in totality, stating that the incidents are becoming too many on the agency.
