The viral EFCC vs Yahoo boys story witnessed a dramatic turn on Monday as the management of the nightclub at the center of the raiding spree, Club 57, claimed that no EFCC operative entered their club to arrest or harass their clients.
After the anti-graft agency issued a statement on their social media account claiming that they invaded the club located on Awolowo Way, Ikoyi, Lagos, in search of some notorious internet fraudsters popularly known as “Yahoo Boys”, the management of the club have issued a counter statement claiming that the EFCC did not enter the club’s premises during the raid. See their counter statement below:
“With respect to the incidence, Club 57 will like to categorically state that no official of the EFCC or security personnel entered into the club to arrest any of our customers on Thursday, May 10, 2018, or indeed at any other time.”
