Chelsea are considering making a move for Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 33-year-old, who moved from Arsenal to Barcelona in January, has been identified as someone to bolster the Blues’ attack.
It is further revealed that the Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is open to working with the former Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund striker. The duo worked together in Germany for two years when Tuchel was managing Dortmund. So, finding the chemistry wouldn’t be an issue for both the player and the manager.
Thomas Tuchel managed Aubameyang for two years when the pair were at Borussia Dortmund – and, in that time, the Gabon international netted 79 goals in all competitions. The Chelsea head coach recently refused to comment on speculation linking him with a reunion with his former striker.
Aubameyang was an Arsenal player at the beginning of last season but moved to Barcelona in January. He made 17 league appearances for the Spanish side, scoring 11 goals and assisting one.
