2018 has seen the Nigerian music industry show out, Nigerian artists wasted no time releasing hits back to back, it seems like there was an unwritten competition, but amongst all the bangers released this year here are the top five songs that rocked Nigeria in 2018.
1. Burna Boy – Ye:
After the release of his latest album early this year, Nigerians were certain that Burna Boy set the par for the entertainment industry and they were not wrong, according to many he released the Album of the year at the beginning of the year and his song ‘Ye’ quickly became the national anthem.
2. Starboy – Soco:
This song which was used to introduced Wizkid’s latest signee’s into Starboy entertainment had Nigerians on their feet and ready to groove.
3. Davido – Assurance:
This song set the par for romantic gestures, the song Davido used to announce his girlfriend to the world had girls gushing and boys lamenting because no one had an idea on how to beat that.
4. Olamide – Science Student:
This was the anthem of the streets, the song which glorified drug use was on the lips of everyone in the club as it was the perfect depiction of our reality.
5. Naira Marley – Issa Goal:
