It was the biggest night in fashion last night the Met Gala and our favorite Hollywood stars came through dripping in finesse and glam on the red carpet. The 2021 theme paid tribute to the ingenuity of the American style. Their looks had to reflect America’s gusty, adventurous sartorial spirit.
The ball was co-hosted by pop star Billie Eilish, tennis player Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet, and poet Amanda Gorman. Stars paid homage to national icons. Co-chair Billie Eilish embraced her inner starlet in an Oscar de la Renta gown modeled after Grace Kelly’s refined style. Lil’ Nas X, who shut down the red carpet by stripping off layers of ornate Versace to reveal a sparkling catsuit.
Kim Kardashian was one of the highlights of the Met Gala who covered her face and body in an all-enveloping black outfit. The custom design was devised by Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of fashion house Balenciaga.
