Chadwick Boseman’s family has reportedly revealed their homegoing service plans for the iconic actor who passed away from colon cancer.
The 43-year-old thespian great, who delivered remarkable portrayals of historical figures Thurgood Marshall, Jackie Robinson and James Brown onscreen before starring in the box office-busting Black Panther, breathed his last after a four-year battle with the terminal disease in Los Angeles on Friday 28th August.A funeral service seeing his colleagues and family members was held in Malibu on Monday 6th September, however, the family will have another but private funeral service for him in Anderson, South Carolina.
According to Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home director Marcus Brown whose company is handling Chadwick Boseman’s funeral, the date, time and location are a yet to be disclosed. In lieu of flowers, the family wants fans to contribute to the Chadwick Boseman Foundation.“It’s an honor to make arrangements with this family. I’ve known them for many years, so it’s an honor but it humbles me as well. They have been very humble through the years, they’re humble and not necessarily private-private but normal people.
“The service arrangements are meant to celebrate Boseman’s life, but the family has asked for the public to respect their privacy”, Marcus Brown reportedly told WYFF-TV.
