Chad Seeks Nigeria’s Help With Electricity

In a bid to generate more electricity for it’s citizenry, the government of Chad Republic has called on the Nigerian government to help it with electricity supply.

Chad Seeks Nigeria's HelpChadian Ambassador to Nigeria, Abakar Saleh Chachaimi made the formal request during a visit in Abuja to the Minister of Power, Engr. Sale Mamman.

The Minister said the move would go a long way in cementing the relationship between the two countries, and that Nigeria was willing to help.He said Nigeria would analyze the request under the various projects under the aegis of the Transmission Rehabilitation and Expansion Programme (TREP) for possible integration.

The Minister said “I, therefore, direct the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) whose representatives are part of this meeting, to come up with a business case and implementation modalities.
