  1. Chief Williams is the first African to qualify as a chartered accountant in 1949. After he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (majoring in Banking and Finance) in 1946, he continued his studies and qualified as a chartered accountant in England.
  2. His family is full of firsts notable people. His younger brother, Rotimi Williams, was also the first Nigerian to be decorated with the Senior Advocate of Nigeria title, and the founder of the first indigenous Nigerian law firm in Nigeria in 1948 with Chief Remilekun Fani-Kayode and Chief Bode Thomas.
