Cedric The Entertainer Sues SoCal Gas Company For Gas Poisoning

Cedric Antonio Kyles widely known as Cedric the Entertainer has filed a lawsuit against the Southern California Gas Company. The Entertainer’s family suffered nosebleeds, vomiting, nausea and vertigo after massive amounts of gas and hazardous chemicals were released into the air at the Los Angeles area in October 2015 and has been tagged the ‘Porter Ranch Gas Leak’. The comedian claimed the leak was a result of the utility company’s failure to replace an emergency safety valve back in 1979.The leak reportedly went on for four months, and it forced the Mayor of Los Angeles to declare a State of Emergency at the time. It released up 100,000 tons of natural gas, which, according to the suit, is 220 times the amount of oil released during the Deep-water Horizon oil spill off the Gulf of Mexico. Although it is unclear exactly what the star is suing for, but he alleges his property value went down in addition to his family’s medical issues. But the Southern California Gas Company has yet to publicly comment on the comedian’s lawsuit.Photo Credit: Getty
