The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has reportedly been sacked.
Emefiele, who is a presidential aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, was fired from his position on Wednesday. Details on why he was sacked were sketchy as we await more updates.

Godwin Emefiele is a Nigerian economist who has been serving as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria since June 4, 2014. Born on August 4, 1961 in Lagos State, Nigeria, Emefiele is originally from Ika South, Agbor region of Delta State.
