Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s steamy track WAP was one of the biggest songs of 2020 – and it’s also been voted the ‘most popular song to have sex to’ in a new study.

The track – which stands for ‘Wet A** P**sy’ – has been found to be the most popular choice on 500 sex-related playlists on Spotify, as researched by OnBuy.com.

They analysed the most frequently occurring songs on people’s bedroom playlists, and Cardi and Meghan’s track was on 197 out of the 500 in the study.

Despite being a popular choice for bedroom playlists, especially with Valentine’s Day around the corner, WAP had divided fans and critics on release.

While it became a huge hit, some (Snoop Dogg included), criticised the explicit sexual lyrics in the song.

Megan recently hit back at the backlash, telling GQ: ‘Some people just don’t know what to do when a woman is in control and taking ownership of her own body.

‘I feel like for a long time men felt like they owned sex and now women are saying, “Hey, this is for me. I want pleasure. This is how I want it or don’t want it”, it freaks men the hell out.

‘It just comes from a place of fear and insecurity, like why would anyone be mad about my WAP? It belongs to me.

Following on from WAP, the second most popular song to have sex to is Super Bowl Halftime Show performer The Weeknd’s Often, which appeared on 186 out of 500 playlists.
