The Abuja state Police Command has arrested a car wash attendant named Muhammed Chado, for the theft of a year old, Toyota Camry, 2000 model the client asked him to wash.
The suspect who is 29 years old used to work with the car wash in the Apo area of Abuja before he allegedly made away with the car and sold it for #450,000 which he reportedly used in marrying his wife.
Chado in an interview with newsmen confessed and explained that he used #300,000 on his wedding and spent the remaining balance on feeding and other expenses. In the suspect words he said “I gave the money to my family to buy the needed items for the wedding, then I spent the balance on feeding myself for one year.”
The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, Sadiq Bello, said “Chado was arrested in Batafe village in Niger state where he was hiding after he stole a Toyota Camry, 2000 model that was given to him for washing”
