President Buhari Resumes Office, Receives Briefings From Osinbajo

Buhari receives briefing from Osinbajo after UK travel
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has resumed office after spending 16 days in London, United Kingdom, and has received briefings from the Vice President on the state of the nation.
Recall that President Buhari had left Nigeria on Tuesday, 30th March after a security meeting with defense and intelligence chiefs, as well as other security sector managers.
Speaking on his departure, President Buhari’s Senior Special Adviser revealed that he did not transmit power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, as that he will not be away for so long to contravene the law. According to him, “the requirement of the law is that if the President is going to be absent in the country for 21 days and more, then that transmission is warranted. In this particular instance, it is not warranted”.

Having arrived back into the country on Thursday 15th April, the President has resumed office today. “President @MBuhari this morning received a briefing from Vice President @ProfOsinbajo, at the State House. #AsoVillaToday“, a tweet via the official Twitter of the FG reads.
