President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has defended his boss against every Twitter bant, saying the President is not genocidal, a terrorist or a dictator.
This is coming as his reaction to the thick controversy stirred by the President in a tweet where he promised that his administration and will treat ‘many people who are young and misbehaving’ in the language that they understand. As a result of the controversy and many reports, the tweet has, however, been taken down by Twitter. Buhari Is Not Genocidal, We Won't Allow Anarchy In Nigeria - Femi Adesina
In his weekly From The Inside article titled, ‘I Suddenly Remembered Why I Fell In Love With The President’, Adesina stressed that Buhari was not genocidal and would not kill a particular ethnic group in the country. He said that the President will, however, not allow anarchy to take over Nigeria. “I like how Moyosore Oyetunji, a passionate Buharist on Facebook summarized latest developments: “When he pleaded with you to eschew violence, you accused him of becoming a motivational speaker, instead of the General that he is. Now he has decided to be it, you are crying. Please, what exactly do you want from him?””, part of his article reads.

The media aide then went further to say the President can never be accused of having genocidal intentions.”President Buhari is not genocidal, and can’t ever be accused of such intentions. But a leader worth his salt cannot look on, and watch law and order break down irretrievably. It is not about a people, or region. It is about the country he took an oath to keep together. Every region has one grouse or the other against the state of our union. But murder and mayhem should never be an option in resolving matters. That is the message of President Buhari, and it should be the message of every good Nigerian”, he added.Buhari Is Not Genocidal, We Won't Allow Anarchy In Nigeria - Femi Adesina
