Buhari Appoints Buba Marwa As NDLEA Chairman

Before Gen. Buba Marwa’s most recent appointment, the close ally of President Muhammadu Buhari was the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse, PACEDA, between 2018 and December 2020, during his stay on the PACEDA board as it’s chairman he developed a blueprint on how to end drug abuse in Nigeria.

Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa’s appointment was confirmed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, according to the Nation, Mallam Garba Shehu had confirmed the appointment on Staurday, January 16, to a media correspondence of theirs where he said, “It’s true. The President has approved General Marwa as the new NDLEA Chairman,” he said in a text message.
