Delta state was thrown into panic mode once again, as a gang of unknown gunmen killed the All Progressives Congress, ward chairmanship candidate in Delta State.
According to Vanguard, the deceased, Jeremiah Ogboveta, was until his death, the chairmanship candidate for Jeremi Ward III in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state. Security sources in the area disclosed that the incident happened on Saturday morning.
Several members of the ruling party has been slain recently by various gangs of gunmen suspected to he assassins. The ward elections has been suspended in Adamawa state, few days after a Boko Haram attack killed at least 60 people.
