The Independent National Electoral Commission on Wednesday presented the certificate of return to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been presented with the certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu on Wednesday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
His running mate Kashim Shettima also got his certificate of return at the event.

The presentation came hours after Tinubu was declared winner of the just concluded presidential poll with 8,794,726 votes to defeat second-placed Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, who scored 6,984,520.
Bola Tinubu rode to victory for the first time in contesting the presidential elections.
Atiku Abubakar, who has now run for president six times, got 6,984,520 votes with Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi garnering 6,101,533 votes for the first time in contesting the presidential election.

Tinubu speaking at the event said, “The road has been long, yet we worked it. The battle has been hard fought, yet we won it, “By taking this sacrifice, I accept a sacred duty. I will work day and night to make Nigeria better. We are committed to the progress and development of Nigeria,” he said.
