The democratically elected governor of Lagos state, Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu has been sworn in by the Chief Judge of Lagos state, Hon. Justice Opeyemi Oke. Sanwoolu who became the 15th governor of Lagos state, swore before the people at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos to be faithful, to bear true allegiance to the constitution of Nigeria and to serve the state and Nigeria dutifully. 
This was after his deputy-governor, Obafemi Hamzat took the oath of allegiance to the Nigerian constitution. This oath taking marks the begininng of a new era in the state and was followed by musical rendition by K1 the ultimate.
