Breaking: Sanwo-Olu Wins Tinubu’s Polling Unit

Results of the governorship and House of Assembly elections have started coming in and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC defeated the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

In Polling Unit 067, Ward Ikoyi 2, Eti Osa local government area, which is in front of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC scored five votes, while the LP scored three.
Similarly, the APC defeated the LP in the House of Assembly.

In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the electorate to collect money from politicians if offered but must vote for the candidates of their choice.

Multiple sources reports that Buhari spoke on Saturday after casting his vote at polling unit 003, Sarkin Yara A in Daura, Katsina state.

The governorship and house of assembly elections are taking place across the country today.

While speaking with journalists in Hausa and English, Buhari said his administration has been discouraging every act of vote-buying and monetisation of politics in the country.
