The Secretary to the Ondo government, Princess Oladunni Odu, has confirmed her desire to contest next year’s governorship election in the state.
Princess Odu said it would not be difficult to have a female as governor of the Sunshine State.
Odu spoke in Akure at an interactive session with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.

She said she remained the only aspirant with the requisite experience.

In other news, Ondo State Government has said that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is yet to return from his medical leave.
It said Governor Akeredolu was still in Germany where he went for medical treatment since June.
Ondo Assembly in July extended the Governor’s medical leave indefinitely.

A viral video, which showed Governor Akeredolu disembarking from an helicopter captioned ‘Welcome back’, caused a buzz about whether the Governor had secretly returned to the State.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, in a statement on Sunday, said Governor Akeredolu was still in Germany and focused on his full recovery.
