Incumbent governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has reacted to his disqualification, as he says he will not appeal the screening process.
Obaseki, who is currently seeking re-election for the second term was disqualified from the primaries by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking about the disqualification on Twitter, the governor wrote “We call on all party members and our teeming supporters to remain calm and await further directives, in the light of the announcement of my unjust disqualification to participate in @OfficialAPCNg primary election in Edo State by the screening committee.”
