While the global community is just gripping the facts of Sunday morning’s Church bombing, a team of suicide bombers on motorcycles blew themselves up at a police headquarters in Surabaya, one of the most populated cities in Indonesia on Monday.
The daring attack left at least 10 people including officers in critical condition.
A local police spokesman, Frans Barung Mangera, confirmed the attack, saying that the police force has successfully arrested a member of the suicide bombing team, who eventually survived the attack. Mr Frans said: “There were four perpetrators riding two motorcycles who have been confirmed dead, their identity is still being verified. A child who was with them, an eight-year-old girl… has been taken to the hospital.”
The Police revealed that a family of five, including a child, carried out Monday’s suicide bombing, barely 24-hours after a wave of attacks on churches – by another family – left at least 10 people dead.
