Borno State Allocates 100 Houses To IDPs In Bama LGA

Borno State Government has disclosed that the 100 units of two-bedroom houses, built by Borno’s billionaire businessman, Alhaji Muhammad Indimi as part of support to his home state will be allocated immediately to the Internally Displaced Persons in the State.
Governor Babagana Zulum made this known at the Shehu of Bama’s palace on Monday while visiting the IDP camp in the LGA.Borno State Allocates 100 Houses To IDPs In Bama LGA
According to Zulum, those to whom the houses were allocated do not need it, hence, they have left them unoccupied for over a year. He, noted, however, that the IDPs need them the most as many of them live in government camps.

Borno state government has revoked all allocations of houses at Indimi estate, we cannot tolerate a situation were people claim ownership of those houses while they are living in Maiduguri. Speaking to the IDPs, Zulum sympathised with them and promised them a better life in the houses. “I want to sympathize with you, you have been in a very difficult situation. The insurgents have displaced you from your houses and communities, without any means of livelihoods“, he said.
