Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has expressed that the land border closure by the federal government failed to contain insecurity in the country.

Recall that Nigeria’s land borders have been closed for over a year by the federal government.

“The Closure of Our Country’s borders made no impact in containing banditry and insurgency. It only unleashed hardships and sufferings on the border communities. It was all about Rice and Rice, and we are still neither a major Rice producer nor exporter.”
