Nigerian activist and author Reno Omokri has also given his reaction to the Boko Haram rehab centre bill proposed by the Nigerian Senate today, saying President Buhari may create a ministry for the terrorists if allowed.
Reno took to Twitter to release his darts, reminding Nigerians of how Buhari had criticised the launch of a military offensive against the insurgency group, saying the idea is anti-North.
“Nigerians shouldn’t forget that when the admin of @GEJonathan launched a military offensive against Boko Haram, General @MBuhari said the ‘Military Offensive Against Boko Haram, (is) Anti-North’. Now he is rehabilitate them. It is getting clear. Open your eyes. Read also: It Is Evil, May God Curse You – FFK On Boko Haram Rehab Bill
If we allow this agency for rehabilitating repentant Boko Haramists, what stops General @MBuhari from creating a ministry for repentant Boko Haram? How can we pay taxes only for it to be used, not for roads, but to pet those who killed our brothers and sisters?“, he wrote.
He then went further to accuse President Buhari of having a hand in the formation of the Boko Haram insurgency group, asking why he wants them rehabilitated if not.
“Dear General @MBuhari, If you have no hand in the formation, funding & protection of Boko Haram, why are you rehabilitating Boko Haram with Nigeria’s money, instead of annihilating them with Nigerian bullets? Why should HQNigerianArmy continue arresting them?“
