Beyond Classically Beautiful Releases “Body Noire” Photo Series

The multimedia platform Beyond Classically Beautiful that celebrates the diverse beauty of black women, has released the second part of their  “Body Noire” photo series. It features interviews of six black women talking about how they have come to love their bodies over the years. The shoot puts the spotlight on both plus-size and slim women, with their hair styled in everything from braids to afros, and stories that discuss self confidence and health.The black and white photos, officially titled “Body Noire 2: A Celebration of Black Female Bodies,” were unveiled in gallery presentation in Brooklyn New York where the Beyond Classically Beautiful founder and chief curator Abi Ishola lead a panel focused on black beauty. This new series features Jezra M (Model, Blogger, Women’s Advocate, & Founder of Pure Body Love), Nell Coleman (Promotional Model & Founder of The B.A.L.D.I.E Movement), Lola Adesanya (Fashion Designer), Shanika Hillocks (PR Specialist), Hawanatu Mansaray (Student), Taja Ellis (Health Coach/Entrepreneur).Photographs were taken by Kunle Ayodeji, while Yetty Bames, Beauty Editor-at-Large, BeyondClassicallyBeautiful.com worked on makeup and grooming.Photo Credit: Beyond Classically Beautiful
