Beyoncé Tops Annual Forbes List As World Highest Paid Woman In Music

Queen Bey”s hit album “Lemonade” was a big success around the world, as she currently tops this year’s highest-paid women in music, pulling in a whopping sum of 105 million dollars. Lemonade was a hit, grossing over a billion dollars from world tour, taking time off as she and husband Jay-Z welcomed twins Rumi and Sir this summer. Adele followed up on the list earning $69 million shortly after Adele took home the Grammy award for Album of the Year in February, boosted by seven-figure nightly grosses on her first proper tour after the year 2011.
Taylor Swift took the number three spot earning $44 million representing a significant dip from the peak of her 1989 Tour.
Celine Dion took the number four spot with $42 million, resuming a lucrative Las Vegas residency last February after taking time out in the wake of her husband’s death in January 2016.
Jennifer Lopez rounds out the top five position with $38 million, also boosted by a standing Sin City gig, as well as a new show World of Dance, where she serves as both judge and producer.
Despite the industry being a male dominated industry, Beyoncé has shown that there is holding back and she is here to dominate “I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Beyoncé told Forbes. “I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.” she said.Photo Credit: Getty
