Beyonce looked nothing short of sensational last night at the launch party for Tyler Perry’s new movie production studios.
The Halo singer made a surprise appearance at the event, hosted in Atlanta, and of course stole the show with her bright and bold look.
Queen Bey commanded all the attention in a glittering yellow gown designed by Yousef Al Jasmi, which was also previously worn by Hustlers actress Keke Palmer.
The 38-year-old singer seemed to skip the red carpet, where her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams posed for photos together, but she was spotted mingling inside.
Social media photos show the Grammy-winning singer happily taking snaps with other guests and, frankly, we’re a tad jealous.
The night was in celebration of the grand opening of Tyler’s sprawling movie studio, which boasts 12 soundstages which are each named after black actors and actresses.
It’s not exactly struggling for space as the studios sit on 330-acres on land that was previously a Confederate army base.
Other stars to join Tyler for the celebrations included Oprah Winfrey, Halle Berry and Samuel L Jackson.
Beyonce appeared to be in happy spirits in light of the recent devastating news that her father, Mathew Knowles, has battled breast cancer.
The music manager opened up on his health ordeal during an interview on Good Morning America last week. Speaking to presenter Michael Strahan, Mathew explained how he was diagnosed after finding blood on his shirt.
‘I immediately went to my doctor, I got a mammogram, and then it was very clear that I had breast cancer,’ the 67-year-old revealed.
‘Of all of the things I could get, why would I get this? From a man’s perspective, I’m thinking “why me?”’
Mathew also confirmed that Beyonce and her younger sister Solange Knowles had tested negative for the mutated BRCA2 gene, which is linked to a higher risk of breast cancer and other cancers.
