The spread of Coronavirus is getting out of hand in Nigeria as Benue records its first case, after Enugu did.
The State Governor Samuel Ortom announced the case today, giving details of the lady who just returned to Benue from the United Kingdom. Ortom told the newsmen that she is however, undergoing treatment.
Ortom disclose her name to be Susan Okpe, adding that he intentionally disclosed the name so that anyone who might have had any contact with her within the last two weeks, would show up for testing and isolation. Read also:Â Enugu Closes Borders After Recording 1st Coronavirus Cases
The Governor then appealed to residents of the state not to stigmatise the patient but rather support her and anyone who may have had close contact with her. He also enjoined those who might have contact with her not to hesitate in reaching out so as to curb the spread in the State.
