Thierry Henry tips Belgium to go far in the 2018 World Cup.
Henry who scored 51 goals in 123 caps for France, helped his country to the World Cup title in 1998 and won Euro 2000. He’s currently working with Belgium in coaching their strikers including Romelu Lukaku, who’s scored four goals in the ongoing World Cup tournament in Russia. “He has the experience from a World Cup title. That is priceless for us in overcoming the mental barriers in getting there,” Belgian coach Roberto Martinez said about Henry.
“I think this team (Belgium) can write history,” Henry said. Belgium will take on England on Thursday to determine who will finish top of the Group G standings. World soccer stars including Miroslav Klose, Ivica Olic, Claudio Taffarel and Mark van Bommel are also working in the background with various teams at the World Cup. “He is a psychological weapon for us, one that will call upon as often as possible,” Martinez adds about the Frenchman.
