Big Brother Naija “Shine Ya Eye” housemate Maria Chike has blamed alcohol for the reason why she flouted the rules in the house.
Recall that Big Brother chastized three of the housemates; Maria, JMK, and Pere for microphone infringement. He slammed them for breaking one of the house rules. Aside from chastizing the housemates for flouting the rules, Big Brother also gave them a punishment to serve as a deterrent to the others.

Big Brother barred them from immunity so they could face eviction. He also barred them from the HOH lounge for two weeks. Explaining to Tega in the garden, Maria said she was overly drunk and did not realize when she took off her microphone and told Pere to take off his microphone.

Maria disclosed that she was not going to break any of the rules in the house but will be responsible because she has learnt her lesson.
