Rivers Baby Factory: Police Rescues 24 Babies, Pregnant Teenagers

Rivers State Police Command has uncovered a baby factory in Woji, Port Harcourt, the capital of the State, rescuing about 24 babies and 4 pregnant teenagers.
This was made known by the command’s spokesperson Nnamdi Omoni, who disclosed that the Eagle Crack Unit of the force had discovered the baby factory on Tuesday during a covert operation.Rivers Baby Factory: Police Rescues 24 Babies, Pregnant Teenagers
He stated that the babies, who are between the ages of 1 and two and the pregnant teenagers appeared frail and malnourished when they were rescued and were currently receiving medical attention.
Adding that investigations had also commenced to bring the faces and personalities behind the child trafficking business to book, Omoni enjoined members of the public whose babies are missing to come for identification and collection.Rivers Baby Factory: Police Rescues 24 Babies, Pregnant Teenagers
The men of the Eagle Crack Unit, in a covert operation yesterday (Tuesday), around 3.00pm, burst a child trafficking syndicate at Woji in Port Harcourt, where 24 babies between the ages of one and two; and four pregnant teenagers were rescued. The babies and pregnant teenagers, who are frail and malnourished, are currently receiving medical attention at the police clinic, while investigation is still on with a view to making more recoveries and bringing the masterminds to justice.

The command is hereby appealing to the public, particularly residents of the state whose babies are missing to come forward for identification and collection
