According to reports, President Buhari and other presidential candidates gathered to sign The Peace Accord at the National Peace Committee for the 2019 General Elections. a conference of all political parties, at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja. The Peace Accord is an undertaking by all the presidential candidates to ensure peaceful campaigns before, during and after the 2019 general elections. 
But PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Donald Duke of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Kingsley Moghalu of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Oby Ezekwesili of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) and Omoyele Sowore of Action Alliance, were all absent and this has raised concerns amongst Nigerians.
