Grammy awards winner Burna Boy has spoken on the effects the award has had on his career and African music, and aside seeing it as a door opener, Burna feels he is at a point in his life where every door of opportunities are opened to him.
Burna Boy said these and more in an exclusive interview with BBC Africa, adding that he would have won the Grammys since 2013 if the Nigerian environment was conducive, had certain infrastructure in place and if the Government took the youths seriously.
When asked about the prospects he sees for music in Africa, Burna Boy said he takes pride in knowing that more people like him will emerge to create opportunities and pave the way more for the younger generation of African musicians.
