Europe’s medical Regulator has also endorsed the use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine, saying it is safe and effective to be used.
Recall that many countries including Germany and most recently Sweden have stopped the roll out of the vaccine after reports that people who took it in Denmark developed blood clots.The regulator’s announcement comes after the WHO and Britain’s health watchdog had both said the vaccine was safe, adding that it was far riskier to not get the shot as several countries face a worrying rise in coronavirus cases.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) Chief Emer Cooke said today Thursday after a probe by the body’s safety committee that “the committee has come to a clear scientific conclusion: this is a safe and effective vaccine”.
Adding that the vaccine is not associated with blood clots as reported in the countries, Emer said, “The committee also concluded that the vaccine is not associated with an increase in the overall risk of thromboembolic events or blood clots”, she added.TRENDING VIDEO OF THE WEEK
