Aston Villa have agreed to a fee with Real Betis – believed to be around £12.5m – for defender Alex Moreno.
The left-back will fly to Birmingham on Wednesday to undergo a medical; Unai Emery has revealed his side wants a winger in the January transfer window.
Moreno had not travelled with rest of the Betis squad to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup. The 29-year-old had started 14 out of Betis’ 15 La Liga games this season and has made 122 appearances for the club since joining from Rayo Vallecano in 2019.
