The Federal government reacts to the recent declaration and proclamation of a new Biafra state, made by the former militant leader, Asari Dokubo, naming himself the leader of the new movement. The FG has called his recent declaration a theatre of absurdity. 
According to the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who reacted to the recent proclamation saying that the former Niger Delta militant leader a joker and an attention leader who wants to form and run a phantom government who won’t be paid any attention by the current government as it will restrict all efforts of getting distracted on its current job at hand because it still had a lot to do.

Alhaji Lai even likened Asari’s act to an entertainment event, noting that Nigeria is a season movie where there is never a dull moment. There is a thing or the other to entertain the people so the Minister said.
Recall that Asari Dokubo through his Head of Information in the person of Uche Mefor released the statement announcing the declaration of the new Biafra state of Biafra Defacto Customary Government (BCG).

He said;
“I am sure you have heard of the theatre of the absurd, that is the best way I can describe it.
“If Asari Dokubo wants to form and run a phantom government, I think he is free to do so.
“This administration will not be distracted because we still have a lot to do.
“We are not ready to give any attention or time to a joker like Dokubo who is just looking for attention.
“We will just take it as one of these entertainment things.
“The beauty about Nigeria is that it is never a dull country, you must have one thing or the other to entertain you.”
