An artist named Wisekid has been called out for stealing and cloning the song of famous singer Wizkid on Apple Music and Amazon. The singer according to reports has been making almost 30 million naira monthly on Amazon and Apple Music after he cloned the singer’s “Made In Lagos” album and renamed it as Lasgidi made.
Wisekid went as far as copying Wizkid’s social media usernames. He used the handle, Wisekidaya on Instagram and Twitter. A lot of reactions have trailed the discovery on social media with fans of Starboy calling on the authorities to find the culprit and deal with him appropriately. Several fans believe that the album will have done better on streaming platforms if an incident like this never occurred.
