Arsenal Signs Real Madrid Midfielder Martin Odegaard On Loan

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Real Madrid’s midfield maestro Martin Odegaard on a loan until the end of the season. Martin Odegaard

The Norwegian midfielder who has been on the fringe of things at his parent club Real Madrid over the last 4-months since returning from Real Sociedad, after spending the last 2 seasons on loan at the Anoeta, he has been struggling for game time which has limited him to making just nine appearances so far this for the Los Blancos.

Martin Odegaard has over the years found it difficult to break into the Real Madrid’s first team, since signing from Norwegian club Strombust at the age of 17-year-old.

The now 22-year-old, midfielder who spent the 2019/2020 season on with Real Sociedad, who were very keen on taking him back this month, but rather chose to move to England after his father and his agent Bjorn-Tore Kvarme met with Arsenal’s technical director Edu who convinced them that the Emirates is the perfect place for the youngster to continue his development and blossom into a world star.

The Gunners have agreed to pay a loan fee of £1.8million to Madrid for Martin Odegaard’s services, as well as a salary worth £38,000 per week.
