Ariana Grande Says Upcoming “Sweetener” Album Is About Love

Ariana Grande has revealed her “Sweetener” project is about that special someone in your life.

The 24-year-old singer revealed the title of her upcoming fourth studio album, “Sweetener,” during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday in New York City.

“It’s kind of about bringing light to a situation or to someone’s life, or about somebody that brings light to your life, or sweetening the situation,” Ariana said of the album title.

“Sweetener” will be released on July 20, and the studio work is expected to feature songs including “No Tears Left to Cry,” “R.E.M.,” “The Light is Coming,” “God is a Woman,” and the first track “Raindrops.”

Ariana Grande, who will be performing at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20, also promised her fans to expect surprises on the 20th of each month leading to the album release. Grande made a rare appearance on in March, when she stepped out with boyfriend Mac Miller at Madonna’s private Oscars afterparty.
