APC Names Sanwo-Olu As Ondo Elections Head Of Campaign Council

The All Progressive Congress has appointed the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Chairman of the 104-member National Campaign Council for the Ondo State October 10 Governorship Election. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu

This was announced in a statement titled, “Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Heads 104-Member APC National Campaign Council for Ondo State Governorship Election,” signed by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, in Abuja late Tuesday.

It read in part, “The Chairman of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of the Governor of Lagos State, H.E. Babajide Sanwoolu to chair the Party’s high-level National Campaign Council for the Ondo State Governorship Election.
“The Governor of Plateau State, H.E. Simon Lalong will serve as Deputy Chairman and Comrade Mustapha Salihu as Secretary of the 104-member APC National Campaign Council.
“The campaign council will be inaugurated on Saturday 15th August 2020 at the APC National Secretariat by 2pm.”

Sanwo-Olu's Presents 2020 Budget 34% Higher Than 2019'sOther members of the council include Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State; Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; as well as governors elected on the party platform and other selected members of the National Assembly.

The party’s flagbearer, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who is seeking reelection, will face Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, The deputy governor of the State Agboola Ajayi of ZLP among other contenders in the October 10 governorship election.
