The director general of the Dino Melaye senatorial campaign chief Shola Ojo has come out to accuse the All Progressive Congress candidate, Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello of ordering thugs to vandalize the billboards of the opposition party. However the governor has come out to deny the allegations, the chief press secretary (CPS) to the governor, Petra Onyegbule, has come out to speak against the issue saying; “It is preposterous to lay such allegations against the state government. 
Governor Yahaya Bello is widely lauded as a governor keen on security and who has done so much to secure Kogi state,” the chief press secretary (CPS) to the governor, He cannot encourage any act of hooliganism or gangsterism. Cases of vandalism should be reported to the police and not be made into issues for petty politics”.
