According to a report by sportskeeda.com, Antoine Griezmann is highly disappointed over losing ballon d’Or trophy to Croatian footballer Luka Modric. The French footballer who won both the Europa League with Atletico Madrid and the summer World Cup with France in 2018, placed third on the list of winners. 
Luka Modric who ended the reign of Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo to take home the prize, emerged the first Croatian to win the prestigious award with Ronaldo bagging second place. However, third-placed Greizmann seemed not to be pleased with his position as he vents out his frustration over losing the individual award. 
He was quoted to have said that: “When I found out you didn’t have to be at home with me the first two days”. He continued by adding that: “No, it’s a great pride to be on the podium, to be a world champion. “I’m counting on my team-mates in the club and the national team to be in Luka’s place in the future”.
