Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Anthony Martial’s physicality is at the ‘best level of his career’.
The Frenchman was given his no.9 shirt back at the start of the season and has rewarded Solskjaer’s faith in his ability to play through the middle with 23 goals this term.

While Martial’s ability has never been in question, his appetite for goals and willingness to do the ‘uglier’ side of a centre forward’s task has.
However, Martial has worked on his link-up play and is far readier to back into opponents, which creates spaces for the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
Solskjaer says Martial’s gym work has paid off in making him a ‘stronger’ player and putting him in the best shape of his career.
‘I like him scoring the simple goals,’ said Solskjaer.
‘I know he can do the worldies. He’s in the gym and he’s working on his strength.
‘He’s physically at his best level of his career. There is more to come from Anthony definitely.’
United arrived in Cologne today where they’ll be hoping to spend the next 11 days in the Europa League bubble.
The Red Devils face FC Copenhagen in the quarter-finals tomorrow and will face one of Wolves or Sevilla should they progress.
Martial is expected to start after a much-changed side beat Lask last week, though the Frenchman emerged from the bench to score late on.
